Research Cruise on the Atlantic Coast of the US

In the spring of 2020, I had the privilege of participating in a research cruise aboard the R/V Atlantis through NC State. The research involved the collection of deep-sea mussels using the Human-Occupied Vehicle (HOV) Alvin, followed by a comprehensive analysis of the mussels for heavy metal accumulation. Additionally, we collaborated with a team from the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology, assisting them in sorting and analyzing larval samples.
